Sad Madona

Biography

Sad Madona is a solo electro/synth project from Paris, blending elements of gothic, techno, and shoegaze. Created by Rémi Lauvergne, an independent and self-taught musician, Sad Madona is distinguished by a melancholic and danceable atmosphere he calls “dramatic dance.”
Rémi Lauvergne started making music only four years ago. His approach combines captivating and emotive sounds, an enchanting mix of haunting melodies, dark electro rhythms, and ghostly voices sung in French. Unfinished love, death, and nature are recurring themes in Sad Madona’s lyrics. The project has made a mark on the gothic music scene with a series of releases between autumn 2021 and 2024, including singles like “Craving,” “Chloroform,” and “Witch Coast.”
